Birthday card

I haven't been stamping much this year but I did manage to make a few cards for some birthdays.  I was clearing out some images on my camera and came across this card that I made back in May.  The floral image is from JustRite's The Greatest Joy Stamp set and the happy birthday greeting is a Hero Arts Decorate It! message stamp.  The interior sentiment is from My Favorite Things' Die-namics Polka Dot Greetings set.

Celebrate

This birthday card starts off with a white card base.  The pink panel, Pretty in Pink card stock from Stampin Up, was embossed with the Cuttlebug paisley embossing folder.  The floral image is from Stampin Up's Bloomin Beautiful stamp set.  The petals were colored with Copic markers R20 (Blush) and R22 (Light Prawn) and the stem and leaves with a Chromatix marker (Grass 2).  I used a die from Cuttlebug's Red Tag Sale font set to cut out the image and I added a pink bow to the top.  The word celebrate is from part of a sentiment in My Favorite Things' a la modes Time to Celebrate stamp set.  I inked up this word using Stampin Up's Pretty in Pink ink and cut it out using Stampin Up's word window punch.   Lace ribbon and three mini brads are the finishing embellishments.

Sweet Birthday

My second card of the year!  I finally got some mojo to create this card for my cousin!  The cupcake image is from MFT's "It's a Cupcake Kind of Day" stamp set and the sentiment is from GKD's 100% Sweet stamp set.  I paper pieced the cupcake liner with KI Memories pp.  I colored the cupcake using Marvy LePlume II marker #85 (mocha) and American Crafts Chromatix markers (Rouge #1) and (Rouge #2).  I used Spellbinders' nestabilities dies to cut the plain and scalloped circle (My Mind's Eye pink pp adhered to a piece of card stock for thickness).  I added a Prima flower and a Making Memories brad for a bit of embellishment.  I added sparkle to the cherry and the paper using Stickles glue "Icicle".  I finished the interior with more of My Mind's Eye and KI pp and a sentiment from Fiskars' "Birthday Cheer" stamp set.

Happy Birthday

I made this birthday card last night and mailed it off to my aunt this morning.  A few days ago I was looking through some of my older craft magazines to get an idea for a layout.  Ever have an idea in mind but the project turns out a bit different? :)  It's not much different so I'm happy with how it turned out!

A challenge card with video

Kristina Werner has put out a challenge to use what's currently out on your craft table to use it to make a project.  My table was covered but I cleared it, thank goodness, and moved my leftover supplies from the closet area to the table.  I can't believe it took over 15 minutes (well...yes I do, it was quite a challenge, lol) to make this card but I was up for the challenge and I completed this card.  I even made a video which was quite fun---don't worry, I cut it down to under 5 minutes, lol!

Cupcake Day

I stepped it up a notch and did some masking on this card.  I used the It's a Cupcake Kind of Day stamp set by My Favorite Things.  The main panel was cut using a Spellbinders labels eight die.  I stamped the cherry topped cupcake, masked it with some Inkadinkado stamping mask paper and stamped the second cupcake twice.  I colored the cupcakes using Prismacolor pencils and Marvy LePlume II markers.  I applied Diamond Stickles to the cherry for a little sparkle.  The patterned paper is by KI Memories and card stock (dark chocolate and spring moss) by Papertrey Ink.

Let's Eat Cake

This is the card I made following the My Favorite Things' Wednesday sketch challenge #71.  The image and sentiment are from My Favorite Things' a la modes Time to Celebrate stamp set.  I water colored the image using Marvy LePlume II markers-numbers 1, 12, 30, 48, 52, 75, 80 and 85.  Other supplies:  patterned papers - My Mind's Eye, Papertrey Ink kraft cs, Prima flower, brad, ribbon, and rhinestones.

Happy Birthday

A birthday card I made for my cousin.  The cupcake image is from a stamp I bought at the local craft store.  I colored it with various markers; cupcake base - Marvy LePlume II marker #85 mocha, candle - Marvy LePlume II marker #52 yellow green, flame - Copic markers Y38 Honey and Y15 Cadmium Yellow, and the frosting - pink Sharpie marker.  I cut it out with a Spellbinders oval nestibilities die.The sentiment is from a mini stamp set of I found at Target.  I stamped it with Stampin Up chocolate chip ink to tie in with the Stampin Up chocolate chip card stock used for the card base.  The patterned paper is by My Mind's Eye and I adhered it to white card stock cut with the EK Success double scallop edge punch.  The ribbon is by American Crafts.       

JustRite Challenge 070

The JustRite challenge 070 is to design your own patterned paper.  I used images from the Topsy Turvy Cakes stamp set to create my card.  I stamped the flower image on white card stock and colored in the images with Marvy LePlume II marker colors yellow green, manganese blue and persimmon.  I stamped the cake image and also colored it with the same markers in addition to the black and pale orange marker colors.  I used a scalloped edge punch on some Pacific Point card stock by Stampin Up and a strip of Papertrey Ink's black card stock.  I used Spellbinders oval nestibilities to cut the cake and the scalloped mat.  The ribbon is from Michaels and I used it to bring in more of the red color to tie in with the flowers on the background design and on the cake.  I stamped the sentiment in Versamark and heat embossed it with white embossing powder.

Sweet 16

My first card in the new year!  I made this card for Julie's daughter and this was a great motivation for me to get a little crafty!  I'm an admirer of her work and hope to bring some cheer to her daughter!

My card base is aqua mist cs from Papertrey Ink. I used patterned paper by My Mind's Eye and embellished a few flower centers with some rhinestones.  I cut the rick rack embellishment using a Papertrey Ink die.  I die cut the letters using Cuttlebug's Red Tag Sale font set, the numbers using their Harmony font set and a tag from their Tiny Tags die set.  I stamped the interior with images from Fiskars' Birthday Cheer stamp set.

  

Birthday Wishes

A card for my Aunt's birthday.  The card base is Papertrey Ink's aqua mist cs which I also used as a layer to mat the floral image.  The flower is an image from Papertrey Ink's stamp set called Life.  I stamped it with Stampin Up's Pretty in Pink ink and cut it and also the layers with Spellbinders' Petite Oval nestabilities.  The sentiment is from Gina K. Design's Elegant Flowers stamp set and I stamped it with Versamark ink.  The patterned paper is by Anna Griffin and the ribbon is from Michaels by a company called Morex Corp.

21st Birthday boxing glove card

This is a boxing glove shaped card I made for my son's 21st birthday last month!  He enjoys watching boxing, wrestling and UFC.  I don't mind the wrestling but the boxing, ugh!  But since 21 is a special milestone, his father and I got him tickets to a UFC event which will be in town this weekend!  We learned of the show about a month before his birthday (perfect timing!) and I was so happy because I knew he had to receive a special gift to celebrate this milestone!  Oh the smile he had on his face when he opened his card!!!!!  Oh yeah, the card, lol!  I drew out a glove shape on scrap paper and used it as a template to cut it from card stock.  I found the boxing picture online and traced it onto tracing paper then onto card stock; this was the perfect embellishment for the card front!  I stamped Birthday on a strip of white card stock adhered to the bottom and edged it with two black strips of card stock.  For the interior, I stamped the sentiment on a white piece of card stock and attached it to create a pocket to hold the tickets.  Both sentiments are from the Fiskars stamp set called Birthday Cheer.

Make a Wish

The images on this card are from Penny Black's Critter Party stamp set.  I colored the images with Crayola water color paint and a water brush.  I used Spellbinders label 8 nestabilities to cut out the focal image and the black mat.  The patterned paper is by My Mind's Eye and the card base is Stampin Up; I can't remember but I think it's lovely lilac.  I made this card for my cousin who shares the same birthday as my son.  I missed making her a card last year but was glad to get this mailed to her this year.

Butterfly birthday

I made this card a few days ago for a May birthday.

Details:
Stamp floral image onto Pixie Pink cs to make patterned background.
Cut piece of lace and weave the lt. green ribbon through the holes. Adhere to floral stamped cs panel. Adhere panel to card front.
Stamp butterfly image onto white cs and cut out using desired shape cutter. Ink edges of shape.
Punch scalloped circle out of polka dot vellum and adhere to card front. Adhere butterfly image to vellum circle.
Stamp sentiment and emboss with white embossing powder. Cut sentiment panel with the word window punch and adhere to card front.
